Hi there, welcome to Kitchen Feasts!
I’m Vanessa , a trained artist and printmaker. I am a single mamma to Elena (six) and Alexander (five). I spent 20 years in retail and hospitality and in 2020 made a career change into finance and securities. We live by the sea in south County Dublin, Ireland.
I can be found wandering the house in my favourite jeans and runner socks always holding a cup of coffee by day or glass of wine by night while picking up toys and discarded clothes. My favourite foods are pasta, avocado, almonds, Dijon mustard, coriander, dill and Greek yogurt so these feature a lot in my recipes. I share recipe that are wholesome, healthy and affordable and perfect for busy people, I simply share what works for us however a lot of my recipes are designed to feed a family of two and designed for a working parent who has no time to spend hours in the kitchen. My son is a very fussy eater, his biggest issue with food is that he doesn’t like food that is mixed, which can be a problem. I mainly cook for me and live in hope that he eats his meal.
So for all the days that are sublime and for the days that, well just don’t live up to the others, food is my saviour, my recipe for life.
